Siobhán Moore

Siobhán Moore is a contemporary painter based in Galway on the West coast of Ireland. Having worked in healthcare for many years, and as an interior design for a while, she now focuses on her art practice. She works in a variety of media - oil, acrylic, ink and more recently encaustic media. Experimentation in new materials and techniques have influenced a letting go of traditional forms, and she finds her work moving into abstraction. @siobhanmooreartist

Daily beach dog walks and sea swims fill her with endless inspiration for the seascapes which inevitably permeate her practice. She is drawn to the constancy of the horizon, always there, visible or not. This knowing provides solace in a turbulent world and feeds her with an energy which she brings into her work. Her aim is to convey a feeling of time and place, while allowing the viewer a sense of her surroundings, a sense of space, one in which they may imagine themselves.

Siobhán has exhibited in several group shows, most recently in May 2025 and held her first solo exhibition in 2024. Her paintings, including commissions, are proudly held in private collections throughout Ireland and in Europe. She spends half her week working as a glass artist in a local studio and is currently studying part-time for a BA in Fine Art at ATU Galway. She is a member of C.A.K.E. Collective, a group of eleven emerging artists, united by a shared commitment to Creativity, Art, Knowledge, and Expression. @cake.artcollective
