Siobhán Moore is a visual artist based on the west coast of Ireland. Working across a variety of media including oil, acrylic, ink and more recently encaustic wax, she draws enduring inspiration from the landscape around her. Her practice, while long rooted in seascapes, has extended to explore the shifting character of the land - its textures, tones, and quiet, elemental presence.

Experimentation with new materials and techniques has prompted a move away from traditional forms, with recent works entering a more abstract, expressive space. Siobhán is drawn to the constancy of the horizon, whether visible or not, as a grounding force in a restless world. This sense of steadiness brings a quiet energy into her work.

Her aim is to evoke a feeling of time and place, allowing the viewer to sense her surroundings - sea, land or sky, and offering a space in which they may imagine themselves.

Siobhán works with a variety of media to create paintings that are best described as abstracted land and seascapes.
